Full Film on Youtube
I’ve decided to release the whole film on Youtube for everyone to enjoy, if you haven’t seen it yet. Please spread the link around if you think it’s worth it.
Thanks everyone for the fun ride, but it’s time to move onto releasing my next film, Surface Tension. You can check out the trailer here (https://vimeo.com/59036818).
LP @ Zero Film Festival!!
So Coney Island went swimmingly, and I just found out that Logan’s Power will be screening at the New York Zero Film Festival! The event is November 10, at the Ran Tea House in Williamsburg Brooklyn. Come out for a great time!
Info and Lineup here:
World Premiere @ Coney Island Film Festival
Thanks for all your support so far in this process. I want to announce that Logan’s Power will be playing Sunday, September 23rd, 2pm, at the Coney Island Film Fest, New York. A link to their website is on the Screenings page. I hope to see some of you there! Come say hi if you can find me in the crowd!
The official trailer is done and online. I put it to the music of the talented, Ana Mallozzi. She contributed two of the four songs to the soundtrack for Logan’s Power. She’s a very talented musician that you should watch out for, she’s getting big!
Review is up!
Go check out this great new review of the film by the movie reviewers at Battle Royale with Cheese.
“Though clearly a celebration of comic book culture – the character names are all references – the short is a classic story of girl likes boy, boy likes other girl, other girl isn’t interested.”
I realized there was a complete lapse in updates on this blog. Some of the posts inbetween the statement video and now can be found on the facebook page for the film (http://www.facebook.com/pages/Logans-Power-short-film/189894882030).
I’ve managed to wrap filming, edit the film (multiple times), color correct, test screen, and then re-edit a few bits again. As of now, Logan’s Power is submitted to multiple film festivals (Williamsburg Film Fest, SoHo Film Fest, Coney Island Film Fest, Manhatten Short Festival, and the Short.Sweet.Film Fest), and we’re going to hold the cast and crew wrap party at the Gotham City Lounge to screen the film and meet up again with everyone. I actually miss you guys!
I’ll be updating soon for festival screenings and other places you can catch the film around the city. Thanks all, and now here are some pictures from set to enjoy:

Casting is finished! I’ll have the cast and crew photos up soon both on the website and here.
Friday we shot a scene for the Logan’s Power Trailer. I’ll be using this to get some attention and raise more funds for the film so that I can make this as good as it can be. I really want to tour some festivals and get these actors the attention they deserve. They’re really amazing and the actors for Logan and Victor are already working together like brothers. I think this is a good sign for when we really shoot
Mask Maker, Mask Maker, Make Me a Sandwhich
Finished making the test mask for the film. I’m currently talking with a costume designer that will work on Logan’s and Kat’s costumes. At the same time I’m editing the marketing trailer, picking out the cast, balancing a budget and trying to secure the last locations…
There’s just no time to feel accomplished for anything cause then 5 more things pop up on my plate. I would say fml, but then I would have to submit that whole sentence to First World Problems, which is a very funny site (http://therealfirstworldproblems.tumblr.com/).
Tomorrow night I’ll be staying up til 5am so I can get a timelapse sunrise shot for the trailer. That should be fun after working a 16 hour shift…again, I’ll stop complaining or just submit to First World Problems.
Ok, enough time wasted on WordPress, back to work!
So I’ve been moving at a snail pace recently with a lot of stuff because I can only move onto certain things after I finish other things, and so on…
This week, I’ll be location scouting with Joe, the producer, and next week will be the second open auditions. After that I’ll have some call backs and hopefully have my actors to shoot a small marketing trailer which will be used to raise some more money. After that I’ll be securing food, equipment at rental houses, rehearsing, story boarding, breaking down the script…and the list goes on.
I’m almost done making the prototype mask for the trailer. I’ll post pictures once its done
